Samsung is firing on all cylinders and bringing the One UI 7 update to many devices ahead of schedule (granted, it was an arbitrary schedule set by the company itself, but at this point we're not going to complain). Joining the list of devices that have received One UI 7 (Android 15) today are the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy S22 lineup is getting the update in Samsung's home country, Korea. It could start rolling out in other countries later this week, and you can rest assured that we will let you know as soon as that happens.

Korea Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra owners can download the update using the Download and install option inside the phone's Settings » Software update menu. The update is 4.4GB in size and includes the latest security patch.

One UI 7 is a massive update that brings substantial changes to the user experience on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. You get Now Bar, a fancy live notification for activities such as media playback and timers that shows up in the status bar and on the lock screen, smoother animations across the UI, a more customizable quick panel, lock screen widgets, an intuitive new camera interface, and more.

While the full changelog is unavailable at the time of writing, the Galaxy S22 series is unlikely to get any of the Galaxy S25 lineup's AI features, such as Audio Eraser. This is not surprising, as last year, the Galaxy S21 series missed out on all of the Galaxy AI features that Samsung introduced with One UI 6.1 on the Galaxy S24.

Thanks for the tip, 정성현!
