Information about Samsung's new smartwatches started coming in about a month ago. The SM-L325 and SM-L335 models were confirmed for the Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the Galaxy Watch 8, respectively, alongside a few other details.

The Galaxy Watch 8 has now made its customary appearance at the FCC, with the listing confirming several key details about Samsung's upcoming smartwatch. The certification is necessary before the device can be sold.

Samsung's new smartwatches could arrive in July

The FCC listing confirms the model numbers of the Galaxy Watch 8 that had previously been leaked online. It further reveals support for LTE FDD 2/4/5/7/12/13/14/25/26/66/71 bands, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 LE, and Wi-Fi 802.11n.

The listing also contains an e-label screen for the smartwatch which confirms 10W charging speed and support for the existing EP-OL300 wireless smartwatch charger from Samsung. This will likely be the one that ships with the Galaxy Watch 8 in the box.

A recent report has revealed that the Galaxy Watch 8 will have a 435mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 425mAh battery found in its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 7. It's also reported that this smartwatch will be accompanied by a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic which will likely bring back the physical rotating bezel to Samsung's smartwatches, a feature that fans greatly love.

What's unclear at this point in time is whether Samsung intends to launch a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 this year, the successor to last year's beast of a smartwatch. Things should become a lot clearer in the days to come, as Samsung is likely going to launch the new smartwatches alongside the new foldables in July this year.
